If you have a physical connection you can always pull the plug, but it’s easier to just use a command to turn off your PC’s Internet until the next time it reboots, which it will as part of the setup process anyway. Enter a username you want to use for your local account and click Next. Enter a password you would like to use and click Next. You can also leave this field blank and have no password, but that’s not recommended. Another method, which works even with Windows 22H2, involves confusing Windows by entering an email address that, apparently, has been used too many times.
This worked for us, but Microsoft could get wise to it. Enter no thankyou. Enter any text you want in the password field and click Sign in. A screen appears saying “Who’s going to use this device? Enter a password and click Next. You can leave the field blank but it’s not recommended. If you’re installing Windows 11 22H2 or newer, you need to use Rufus or some other method to create the install disk so that turning off Internet during the setup process allows you to proceed with a local account.
Otherwise, when you follow the steps above, you’ll get a message saying “Oops, you’ve lost your internet connection” and demanding you get back online to continue the install. Here’s how to make a Windows 11 install disk that will let you disconnect from the Internet during setup so you can create a local account instead of using a Microsoft one. We explain how to perform this process in our how to down a Windows 11 ISO file article. Insert a USB Flash drive you want to use as an install disk if one is not already inserted.
Note that this drive will be completely erased during the process and it must be at least 8GB. You clearly haven’t read the thread or watched the video I did of installing 21H2 from scratch above.

I have the same question Report abuse. The upshot? It only takes a moment: Click your account name at the top of the Start menu and then click Sign out. Choose Administrator and click OK. You can always change it back to a standard user account later using this same method.
A screen appears warning you that when you delete the account, you also delete all data associated with it, which include files, desktop setup, apps, music and so on. Also, note that you can only delete an account if the person has signed out of Windows But Windows 10 also sets up a hidden administrator account during installation.
Some people refer to this hidden administrator account as an elevated account, and a normal one as an un-elevated account. That turns on the hidden administrator account.
It will appear on the Windows 10 login screen and on the Start menu screen — just click it to use it as you would any other account. This article was originally published in March and most recently updated in January Here are the latest Insider stories.

A local account is the classic way most people sign into their computers. This is where you click on your user account, enter a password, and start using the computer. The good thing about using a local account is that you can use it to download and install free games and apps from the Windows Store without using a Microsoft account, and use system applications like Mail and Calendar.
You can also download paid apps with a Microsoft account and access all Windows 10 features. The idea behind the policy on local accounts in Windows 10 is to find a balance between Microsoft accounts and user expectations, while still offering as many features to local account users as possible.
Toggle “Remove requirement for an online Microsoft account” to on and click OK. But if your computer meets those requirements, it doesn’t pay to do that. It is expected to overwrite all contents of the drive. Rufus will take a few minutes to copy files to the USB Flash drive. When it’s done, you will have a bootable Flash drive.

See all comments I was able to get around the MS account by installing win 10 pro first with a local account , then updating to 11 pro. BUT, I pulled to sticks of ram out for testing and boom, local account gone. Either I buy another key, or sign in to MS account and say “I changed hardware.
I know right?! But as soon as those sticks came out, no other change was made and when I booted, it said activate windows again, but with a MS account. Its fixed now, still on local account, but I don’t want to have to do all this to keep it activated as much as I change hardware.
