I also tried to use your guide to standard page size such as: A5, A6 and it works. Or else, is there any other way to remove margin by default? Actually I’m using standard A4 size with additional no-margin. The problem left on Ms. Word, I need to change the paper size everytime I want to save as pdf or print. Based on your reply as well as your reply to John Are you saying that if you go into the Print dialog when using other programs that you have a choice for A4 Borderless, but that when using Word A4 Borderless is not in the list?

Which version of OS X are you using? Details required :. Cancel Submit. I have used the following methods and it solved my issue, I hope this way will solve others people problem: 1. Thanks for your feedback. The only option is to pdf and double sided print. The issue appears to be that Media quality in the print dialogue box is defaulted to auto select and I think the printer requires plain paper for double-sided logically I am surprised there is LESS functionality with word printing than there is with a browser.

For now I’ll have to PDF and print until there’s some kind of update. In fact, the Print dialog supplied to Pages is the only print dialog where I’ve even seen that term used. Apple supplies the content for the Print dialog, the software developers merely build from those choices based on the type of program. The Apple check box device you’re looking for is a simplistic implementation that provides only default long edge binding.

Microsoft chooses not to include that on the main page of the Print dialog used by Word. I tried both the “Quick Repair” option and, when that didn’t work, tried the “Online Repair” option, which didn’t work either. I also tried the Office Update to see if that would fix it, so now it says I am completely up to date, but the problem persists. One additional thing I have noticed, which may help in the diagnosis, is that if I select, say, a C5 Envelope in Landscape mode using the Printer Properties setting, once I click OK on that the Settings on the Print dialog still show the default settings of A4 size and portrait.

I am sure that these used to update to the selected Printer Properties setting. I have also tried this with another printer, an Epson SXW and again, Word or any Office app cannot change the printer properties from the default values. Even with that, Setting remained as Portrait orientation and the created PDF was in portrait mode – the Printer Properties selection had not changed anything.

Each printer driver will have its own properties and default controls so your may not look like the screenshot. Once you have saved those changes, make that the default printer in Windows if it is not already.

The thing is, Word can set what a page will look like, but it can’t set a default for duplex printing. That has to be done through the printer driver. Your printer may not have the ability to do that. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community. Basically, I have the most recent version of Microsoft Word. I have a couple of settings that I want to be the default, such as printing two-sided and different margins. I know how to do those manually, but each time, I have to select these settings manually.
