The user is attempting to launch it from inside their Remote Desktop session not a citrix environment, just RDS. I have also tried connecting to a totally different Citrix XenApp server and the same error occurs. I think this could happened because of windows update and uninstall all the update and try to open the application.

On version 4. Ran into a machine where user could not open any remote desktops. Errors in logs referenced cdviewer. Verified file versions Upgrade did not fully complete so the cdviewer executable was still the old version. Uninstalled, verified that all citrix files were removed from the program files x86 folder.

Posted September 1, Hello, No, no other applications work. Yes, all user accounts have the problem. Mike, I think this could happened because of windows update and uninstall all the update and try to open the application. Posted September 7, Uninstalling all of the updates did not help.
