License Error: The License Manager is Not Functioning or is Improperly Installed (FLEXnet Error)


I have read that there may be issues with Autocad and Windows I have tried all the fixes I could find on the internet to resolve this issue. I’m a student and I was as a User Support Manager at the same college I goto handling all the computer, printer, scanner, and some server issues for the campus. I have a student license and I’ve downloaded Autocad x64 for my Autocad Class. That is the version currently being used by the class.

Autocad runs fine, I haven’t checked My issue is that it installs fine and lets me put in my student license no problem. After it’s installed and I run it, the program hangs on Checking License.

I have turned off AV, removed AV, completely reloaded the laptop numerous times with a fresh install of Windows 10 Professional. The program just starts and when it gets to checking license it closes when in compatibility mode. I’ve given myself full permissions to the autodesk folder in program files as well. Why in the hell has Autodesk let such a stupid issue like checking the license keep going for YEARS across 3 different version of Windows and not do something about it.

Anybody have any ideas? I’ve removed Framework 4. It’s still getting caught on checking license. I can understand if there was some sort of crash with the program, but as far as I know the software that checks the license is bugged and the rest might not be but I don’t know becuase I can’t get past it checking a license.

One starts up AutoCAD without any issues at all. The other has the checking license issue like yours. What’s really odd however is that the one I’m having the checking license issue with will start AutoCAD every now and then I’ve been installing different version of AutoCAD on many different systems for over 5 years now and never seen this before.

This involved removing all AutoDesk applications, deleting all the folders that are created on installation of said applications, manually deleting a couple of registry keys, restarting the computer, then reinstalling.

Super painful. I’m about to endeavor to do the same on this affected Windows 10 PC. So, I went through the removal process, restarted the computer, updated the operating system and still This is really quite annoying. I have Windows 10 and Autocad working until yesterday.
