But I had trouble installing. So I moved the fonts and the installer ran through successfully. I then installed the VS Tools for Unity. I started getting errors on screen that said “An unhandled exception System. So then I imported the Unity VS tools to my project. Now my unity project hangs when unity opens. Also the above error message appears very frequently.

So I downloaded and reinstalled it. No joy. I tried uninstalling the Unity VS tools. I then went to Programs and Features to remove VS. However when I click on VS I only get the option to change. So I click change and the VS splash screen briefly appears. Then nothing. I do want to get VS running I thought a reinstall could fix it. But not to even be able to reinstall Do you still have the installer?

If you do, you can double-click the installer to open the “modify, repair, uninstall” dialog, then click “repair” to see if you can uninstall VS community from thr control panel.

Also, you can choose to click “uninstall” to uninstall VS community. Type cmd and press OK Enter. Click HERE to participate the survey. Do you mean that you have trouble when install VS community, after remove some fonts, you can install VS successfully? But you can’t install the VS Tools for Unity after that, right? I did find a solution to the JIT pop ups.

I needed to remove some reg keys. Also apparently it is an issue with v1. So I used unity to generate an sln file and have opened that in VS just dandy. I havent had the chance to test whether it all complies etc yet.

It seems that you need to uninstall VS community now. But you can’t uninstall it for some un-know reason. Then you can choose to uninstall VS in the later pop up dialog. I will add the screenshot in next reply due to the limitation of the picture number. If you still can’t uninstall VS, I guess it is related with the deleted reg keys.

In fact the editor is excellent. Thanks for the info. Ill keep the force uninstall stuff handy. Running the regular installer did nothing.
